Managed BRSR reporting for listed companies
Your BRSR, filed on time and assurance-ready, without turning your teams into ESG analysts.
Fusionpact’s ESG team runs your SEBI Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report end to end. Your HR, finance, facilities and IT colleagues answer short, plain-language requests in one place; we review every figure, compile Sections A–C and BRSR Core, and hand your assurance provider a trail they can verify line by line.

BRSR Core assurance reaches the top 1,000
Under SEBI’s glide path, BRSR Core assessment or assurance applies to the top 1,000 listed companies from FY 2026-27. Numbers now need evidence, not estimates.
Data sits across a dozen teams
Energy bills with facilities, headcount with HR, MSME spend with procurement, breaches with the CISO. Spreadsheets by email lose the trail an assurer needs.
Peers are raising the bar
India’s largest companies now file 50-page BRSRs with reasonable assurance. Investors and lenders compare you with them, indicator by indicator.
How the engagement works
We run the process. Your teams answer only what they own.
The platform replaces the BRSR spreadsheet chase with a request-and-review workflow. Fusionpact’s analysts do the ESG work; your colleagues spend minutes, not weeks.
Step 1 · Fusionpact
Issue
Every SEBI BRSR question becomes a plain-language data request, routed to the function that owns the data.
Step 2 · Fusionpact
Assign
Requests go to named owners in your company, who get one email digest and their own inbox, with reminders.
Step 3 · Your teams
Answer
Owners type a few figures, upload bills and registers, or confirm values pulled from HRMS, ERP and CRM.
Step 4 · Fusionpact
Review
Our ESG analysts check every answer against the prior year and the evidence, and accept it or return it with a comment.
Step 5 · Your ESG head
Approve
BRSR Core values move through maker–checker approval. The person who enters a value can never approve it.
Step 6 · Assurer & you
Assure & file
Your assessment or assurance provider works in the same workspace. The final BRSR is exported in SEBI format for the annual report.
Who in your company is involved
Each function gets only its own questions. Typical owners:
| Company Secretary & Legal | Listed entity details · Participation of women in the Board and KMP · Holding, subsidiary, associate and JV companies · +5 more |
|---|---|
| Finance & Accounts | Business activities and products/services (NIC codes, % of turnover) · Days of accounts payable · Openness of business: concentration of purchases, sales and RPTs |
| Human Resources | Employees and workers (incl. differently abled), by gender · Employee and worker turnover rate (3 years) · Training and awareness on the principles · +5 more |
| Admin & Facilities | Locations and markets served · Energy consumption (renewable and non-renewable) · Water withdrawal, consumption and discharge · +1 more |
| EHS (Health, Safety & Environment) | Occupational health & safety: incidents and complaints · Air emissions and GHG (Scope 1 and 2) · Ecologically sensitive areas, EIAs and environmental compliance |
| Procurement & Supply Chain | Sustainable R&D/capex, sustainable sourcing, reclaim and EPR · Sourcing from MSMEs and within India |
| IT & Information Security | Cyber-security and data privacy |
| Customer Service & Sales Ops | Consumer complaints and product recalls |
| CSR | CSR applicability, turnover and net worth · Social impact assessments, R&R and community grievances · CSR projects, aspirational districts and beneficiaries |
A typical eight-week plan
- Week 1Kick-off: confirm reporting boundary, entities and facilities; load last year’s filed BRSR as the baseline; name one owner per function.
- Weeks 2–5Data collection through requests, connectors and bulk imports. Weekly status to your ESG head; automatic reminders to owners.
- Week 6Review and reconciliation: year-on-year variance checks, intensity ratios, evidence completeness for BRSR Core.
- Week 7Narratives for Sections A–C drafted by the Copilot from accepted data only; assurance pack and evidence trail handed to the assurer.
- Week 8Board-level approval, final SEBI-format BRSR for the annual report, and a gap plan for next year.
Timelines adapt to your annual-report calendar and assurance provider.

Connect the systems you already run
Owners confirm numbers instead of compiling them
Connectors map named fields in your HRMS, ERP, CRM, EHS and building systems to specific BRSR questions. They start in a sandbox mapping check, then go live with read-only access your IT team authorises. Anything else comes in through a CSV template.

AI Copilot
An ESG analyst on call for every data owner
The Copilot explains any BRSR question in plain language, tells your team what is still missing and who owns it, compares you with listed peers, and drafts disclosure narratives from accepted data.
Grounded, never guessed
It reads only your workspace and public filings. If a figure is not in the data, it says so and names the request that would provide it.
Every number checked
Narratives are generated from approved values; each figure in the draft is checked against its source before anyone sees it.
Built for non-specialists
“What does P6 essential indicator 1 need from facilities?” gets a concrete answer, with units, conversions and the evidence an assurer will ask for.
Assurance-ready by design
The trail your assurer needs, created as the work happens
Maker–checker
Whoever enters a value can never review or approve it. Enforced in the database, not just the screen.
Evidence on every value
Bills, registers and exports are attached to the metric they support; utility bills are read automatically and confirmed by a person.
Tamper-evident audit log
Every change is recorded in a hash-chained log that can be verified end to end.
Locked after filing
Approved values cannot change without reopening; assured and filed reports are immutable.

Questions
What companies ask us first
›Does BRSR Core assessment or assurance apply to us?
SEBI’s glide path extends BRSR Core assessment or assurance by market capitalisation: top 150 (FY 2023-24), top 250 (FY 2024-25), top 500 (FY 2025-26) and top 1,000 (FY 2026-27). Every company that files a BRSR today because it is in the top 1,000 should plan for it in FY 2026-27. We confirm your position at kick-off.
›How much time will our HR, finance and facilities teams spend?
Each owner sees only their own requests, written in plain language, with the prior-year figure for reference. Most are a handful of numbers plus a document. Where a connector or bulk import exists, owners confirm values instead of compiling them.
›Who is accountable for the numbers?
Your company remains the discloser. Fusionpact runs the process, reviews every answer and prepares the report; your owners submit data, your ESG head approves BRSR Core, and the platform records who entered, reviewed and approved each value.
›Can our assurance provider use it?
Yes. Assurers get their own role with read access to values, evidence and the full audit trail, and can record findings against individual metrics. Approved values are locked once assured.
›Where is our data stored, and is it used to train AI?
Data is stored in India (Mumbai region), isolated per company by database-level security. The Copilot reads only your workspace under your permissions, and under our AI provider’s commercial terms your data is not used to train models.
›We report on a consolidated basis with overseas subsidiaries. Does that work?
Yes. Facilities and subsidiaries sit in one hierarchy; each can have its own owners, and figures roll up to the consolidated boundary with the per-entity split preserved for review.
Start with last year’s BRSR
We load your filed BRSR as the baseline, show you the gaps an assurer will find, and set up the owners and requests for this year, usually within the first week.
